Currently, the city’s health sector has performed treatments for 11,446 patients, including 631 children under 16, 246 patients treated with ventilators and 12 severe patients with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (EMCO).

As of November 3, HCMC recorded 944 hospitalized patients and 28 deaths related to SARS-CoV-2.

As for the vaccination process, the city missed 7,776,356 first doses of vaccine and 5,778,890 seconds.

Mr Hai was concerned that many people were subjective and did not strictly follow regulations on the prevention and control of Covid-19 on streets and crowded places after getting vaccinated.

Recently, many people have flocked to Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street on weekends without wearing face masks and keeping their distance. Many restaurants also did not strictly comply with the regulations.

Ho Chi Minh City’s deputy director of health, Nguyen Van Vinh Chau, informed that in the past two weeks, the number of new cases of coronavirus has tended to increase again. Most of the new infections have been discovered in export processing zones and industrial parks where workers have not been fully immunized.
