LAS VEGAS (FOX5) – Free income tax preparation help will be available throughout the valley from next week.
Volunteers from AARP and the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will provide residents with free tax form preparation and electronic filing at five senior or community centers in the city of Las Vegas.
VITA volunteers are trained to classify basic forms and schedules, including 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ.
These services are available to everyone free of charge, with a particular focus on taxpayers over the age of 50 or with low to moderate incomes.
Appointments are required for all locations. You must bring a copy of your 2019 income tax return, social security card, photo ID, and all applicable 2020 documents.
